On May 29, 1991, the gospel was shared with Pastor Darryl G. Howell. On that same day, he confessed his sins to Jesus Christ and was saved. Shortly thereafter, he became a member of Reed's Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor David A. Reed and served there for 21 years. 

 

In December 2012, the Tabernacle of Holiness Church was established and began holding services at St. Thomas Lutheran Church. 

 

Tabernacle of Holiness Church has been fruitful in fundraising and has had much success with its "Women in Ministry" programs under the guidance of Lady Tanya Howell as its chairperson. 

 

In January of 2023, Tabernacle of Holiness was blessed to obtain its own church building with the purchase of the property at 1222 W. 108th Street Chicago, Illinois. 

 

Pastor Darryl G. Howell remains committed to fulfilling his calling through the preaching and teaching of God's holy word.
